Cat Sommer is an American artist born in Torrance, California, to a Colombian woman and an American man. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, a Gender Studies Theme, and a minor in Art History from California State University, Chico.
Cat Sommer has exhibited in California, Wisconsin, and Colombia. She has sold to private collections in the United States and abroad such as Gae Schulman Gallery in San Francisco, California and the Jorge Garcia private collection in Medellín, Colombia. She has held gallery representation from Evolution Art gallery in Madison, WI. Santa Barbara Art Walk, in Santa Barbara, California and Andres Gallery in Ventura, CA. She is a current member at City Arts Cooperative Gallery, San Francisco Woman Artist’s Gallery, and a member of Artspan San Francisco.
