Clara Saprasa has a BFA in Art from the University of Minnesota. For seven years Clara showed a collection of art at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in Chelsea, N.Y. She was profiled in "American Art Collector", published by Alcove Books for four years, was invited to participate in the Florence, Italy Biennale in 2011, and has participated in shows extensively in Minnesota as well as in California, Kentucky, and Chicago. Growing up on a farm in California, Clara was surrounded by nature and shelves of fairy books. Early on, she was influenced by the power and beauty of nature and the dream of magic. Clara felt a spiritual presence and magic in nature. In natural settings, she visualizes wild, natural, powerful women. Quite often her paintings relate to women in the form of trees - perhaps tree nymphs, as does the art work of many artists in many cultures.
