Jess Zepeda

Jess Zepeda, a San Francisco Artist, currently lives in San Francisco and is employed with the Oakland Unified School District as an Intervention Specialist Substitute. Jess grew up in Tulare County in Central California and has been interested in art since kindergarten.  Formal training included High School, college, Art Instruction School (Correspondence) through Minneapolis, Minnesota, and The Art Academy University in San Francisco. He is part self-taught, and has MFA in drawing, painting.

The artist states that Sidney Kittenger of Auberry, California inspired him to pursue drawing and painting. Jess works in graphite pencils, pastels and oil paints, switching from one medium to the next. He has won three national awards from the Veteran's Administration Art council.
