Kerry Campbell is a Bay Area based painter. She is an abstract expressionist and minimalist artist. She works in a variety of mediums, including encaustic, acrylic, oil, and mixed media. Her work explores the interrelationship of form as metaphor for human relationships using bold and bright colors, as well as expression of mood and forces of nature through gestural renderings. She also works in pure black and white creating her signature anthropomorphic shadow figure paintings as well as word art paintings.
Kerry is a published poet and often writes poems to accompany her artworks – thus expanding on the themes in the work. Or, she uses words as a medium for her artworks.
