Melody Serra

Melody Serra teaches K-12 and is originally from Los Angeles. An educator now in San Francisco, Melody has seen the power of creativity and the importance of expressing oneself. She already enjoyed art, but felt even more for it as she taught. Melody lives in the Bay Area with her partner Chris and their puppy Mila (much of her inspiration comes from her little family). Her passion is teaching and empowering others by sharing what she has learned. She started an arts and crafts program at a children’s hospital, an English as a Second Language class at a shelter for victims of human trafficking, a JavaScript class at the Boys and Girls Club of Visitacion Valley, and has taught code at San Quentin State Prison. Melody hopes to inspire others to explore and expand their creativity through art, web design and development, and whatever other medium they find fulfilling.
