Monique Passicot was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. While in High School, she attended the weekly drawing and painting classes with Argentine Surrealists Pedro Pont Verges and Julio Pagano.
She graduated from the University of El Salvador, Buenos Aires, with an Honors Degree in Costume and Set Design.
Before moving permanently to the United States, she lived four years in France studying Art, French, Humorous Drawing with Maris Bishofs at the Paris American Academy and Paint on Silk with Litza Bain. She is a member of the National Association of Women Artists, and Signature Member of the Colored Pencil Society of America. San Francisco has been her home since 1983.
