Sandra Lo, an established award-winning artist and long-time member of SFWA was born in China and immigrated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1979. Her father, an art teacher and oil painter, inspired her to become an artist. Sandra grew up in an artistic environment full of his paintings, art books and stories, and received academic training from him during her childhood. Using oil and pastels, Sandra’s subjects include portraits, figures and landscapes. She loves to paint from nature and from live models. Sandra’s painting style is realism towards Impressionism. Her goal is to bring the viewer into her painting and experience the emotion she has revealed. Her artworks and commission portraits are in galleries, publications and with collectors nationwide.
