Banner theme: “Vibrant Vision”

Submissions Deadline: SEPTEMBER 1

San Francisco Women Artists (SFWA) invites all Bay Area artists (all genders welcome) to submit works for a juried Art Banner competition. Funded through SF Grants for the Arts, the banners will provide local artists an exciting opportunity to showcase their work in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset neighborhood. We hope that the “Vibrant Vision” theme inspires you to create and submit work that reflects a spectrum of radiant color.

Selected artworks will be digitally transferred onto 3’ x 6’ vertical vinyl banners installed on lampposts on Irving Street from 7th to 9th Avenue. To best utilize the banner specs, colorful and crisp designs are encouraged. While visually enhancing the Irving Street commercial corridor, serving as a gateway to Golden Gate Park, the banners showing your work will be seen by thousands.

Juror: Matt Burns, FOSAS Executive Director

Cash awards: Artists whose work is selected will receive a $100 honorarium per image.

Fees:  Entry fee is $45 for up to 3 entries. SFWA Members Entry Fee is $30 for up to 3 entries – Use the Member discount code you will find on the Members’ page.  Learn more about becoming an SFWA member here. Fees are paid online at time of submission and are not refundable.
