SFWA Recovery Fund

Dear Friends of SFWA,

The global pandemic is challenging us all in ways not even imagined. With a potential shortfall of over $100,000 this year due to lost revenue from gallery programs, sales of SFWA works, and the cancellation of our major Summer Art Gala benefit at the Salesforce Tower, San Francisco Women Artists faces a significant financial challenge.

Although the SFWA Gallery is on pause for now, our focus remains on how to continue to engage you, our artist community, and keep our commitment to supporting and expanding the representation of women in the arts. In this changing landscape, we remain motivated to forge ahead knowing that the healing power and inspiration of art is needed now more than ever. We hope we can count on you to help support the San Francisco Women Artists Recovery Fund as we make every effort to re-open our doors.

As we plan for the future, we are excited to have launched the SFWA Online SHOP – featuring the art, jewelry and ceramics created by our local artists. Please visit: LINK

Since 2015, SFWA has provided support to our Bay Area artists by hosting monthly exhibitions and selling over $273,000 of their artworks. In May, we will launch an Online Art Auction to help provide critical funding to account for the loss of revenues due to COVID-19.

We know that this crisis affects each of us personally and professionally. Please know that a contribution in any amount would be deeply appreciated and is vital to the sustainability of our historic arts organization. If you wish, please support our efforts by making your Tax-deductible Donation by June 30 to ensure that the San Francisco Women Artists survives this crisis.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support of SFWA, its mission and legacy. Wishing you good health and all the best,

Pam Borrelli
