Raji Musinipally

My love for art and painting started after taking some weekend painting classes when I was in high school in India. I was immediately hooked and went on to receive a Fine Arts degree in college. Since then, painting has brought me great joy over the years, alongside careers as a mom and an educator. Since moving to California, my painting styles have evolved into a fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. One week I am immersed in painting a turbaned man from India, and the next week I am inspired to paint a row of houses after visiting my kids in San Francisco.
My Indian heritage, traveling, and life in California influence my paintings which are filled with emotion. I love painting with a bright color palette to excite and engage the eye. Indian folk art, Pop Art, Impressionism and Cubism all influence my work. Every scene I see is transformed into a canvas in my mind.
I create paintings in acrylics and mixed media on canvas in a variety of styles.
After working in education for 20 years, I am currently a full-time artist. I am learning and growing every day and thoroughly enjoying the journey!
