Judi Mozesson is a native of San Francisco whose artwork is greatly influenced by growing up in the City, her family (her photographer mother in particular) and the social and natural world around her. Judi is a largely self-taught, instinctual artist, but has studied metalsmithing, ceramics, mosaic, collage and acrylic painting and has exhibited and sold her work at galleries, shops, and art venues in past years. Her focus in recent years has been on collage and 3-D collage under the mentorship of artist and teacher Lorna Stevens, CCSF Continuing Education. This mentorship and Judi’s compilation of past experience with various art mediums have lead to a current body of mixed media work that combines collage, image transfer, photo reassignment, acrylic paint and other materials and objects. Her work often incorporates disparate elements (in both technique and content) to tell stories that are visually intriguing, always personal and sometimes quirky or humorous.
